To get to know theshellfish from the Ebro Delta, there exist gastronomic routes in the unique natural environment where shellfish are raised, in the Alfacs Bay.
The trip by boat runs first the beaches of San Carlos de la Rapita and then reaches the Lighthouse of Punta de la Banya, in the heart of the Ebro Delta. In the end the tourists taste steamed mussels and raw oysters, eating them at the same place where they are bred.
The route is dedicated to visitors, so they know how mussels are cultivated and learn to enjoy their taste.
This activity will be kept on a permanent basis every Saturday, although there exists a possibility to arrange visits on weekdays.
